Sustainability Pledge
At Morgan Foods, we embrace the values of sustainability and environmental stewardship. Through concrete actions and unwavering dedication, we strive to have a more positive impact on the planet, ensuring a more sustainable future for all.
Composting
Morgan Foods has established a recycling and composting program. We screen and sort plant waste and compost organics instead of sending it to landfills. Our recycling system includes plastic and cardboard balers, as we seek to minimize the amount of paper sack materials sent to landfills.
Water Conservation
We have implemented a water reclamation system that recycles water used, and harnesses heat generated, in our food processing. This has enabled us to reduce our waste and conserve water during our manufacturing and packaging process.
Energy Conservation
We have transitioned to functionally and energy efficient heating systems in our warehouses in an effort to conserve energy and reduce our carbon footprint.
Eco-conscious Delivery
Morgan Foods maintains its own trucking fleet of eight trucks, which it supplements with customer and private trucking lines when possible or as needed. Further, utilizing a nearby railway system for approximately 20% of goods transport allows Morgan Foods to transport goods efficiently with reduced emissions relative to truck-only transport.
